The Best Decision

My hubby and I have thoroughly enjoyed sending our son Louie to Nurture@Home each week. People all warned us about going to ‘in-home care’, saying things like he won’t get used to lots of other children, etc., etc., but NO Way! We have found it to be the best decision! Children get more one-on-one with their educator, and they do…

12 Years with Nurture@Home!!! ❤️

Hey Nurture@Home family, Gem here!

I’ve had the privilege of being part of the Nurture@Home journey right from the very beginning here in Nelson starting out as an Educator, building relationships with tamariki and whānau, and over the years putting on another hat as a Team Leader.

While my role has changed over the 12 years at Nurture@Home, the heart of what I do really hasn’t.

For 12 years I’ve had the absolute privilege of supporting families and children, walking alongside them through all sorts of seasons, encouraging and advocating for tamariki and home-based ECE as being an amazing option of childcare, supporting and mentoring our equally amazing Educators, bringing on the next generation of Educators and being out in our community building connections where ever I can.

I’ve watched Nurture@Home grow from an Idea, to a reality and I feel incredibly proud to have been part of that journey from day one.

lots of laughs, some very special moments and so many wonderful people who I have been so lucky to cross paths with along the way too.

12 years later, I’m still here, still learning, still caring, still advocating, and still incredibly proud to be part of the Nurture@Home whānau. Surely others dream of a workplace like this too? If so, i'm here waiting to chat with you!🤩☺️😉

Here’s to the next chapter! 🥂❤️

12 years. One incredible journey. So many beautiful people along the way.

🌿💙 It's NURTURE'S 12th BIRTHDAY!!!! 💙🌿

But most importantly, Today we celebrate 12 incredible years of Janelle the wonderful woman at the heart of it all, our Service Manager and Owner. 🥰

Twelve years ago, Janelle began growing a vision for a home-based early childhood service where tamariki could be nurtured, loved and supported in a warm, family-like environment. Twelve years on, that vision has grown into the truly special, high-quality service that Nurture@Home is today. 🌿

Janelle, we want you to know just how SPECIAL you are and how much you are appreciated. ❤️

You pour so much of yourself into Nurture@Home and into the people who make up our whānau. You mentor and guide our Educators with your wealth of knowledge from your 30+ years in ECE, and always with patience and kindness.

You lead with aroha, awhi, gentleness and genuine care. You are always there to listen, to help, to encourage and to provide guidance when we need it and you somehow manage to make everyone feel valued, supported and cared for along the way. 💙

You don't just look after our tamariki and Educators you look after your team. You make sure we have the best resources, the best opportunities, the best support and, quite simply, the best of everything. ✨

The heart of Nurture@Home is so much more than policies, programmes and beautiful learning environments. It is the relationships, love, connection and sense of whānau that you have worked so hard to create over the past 12 years.

And that is your legacy, Janelle. ❤️

A place where children are cherished.
A place where Educators are supported.
A place where everyone is encouraged to grow.

We are all SO incredibly lucky to be part of the Nurture@Home journey and so grateful for everything you do often quietly behind the scenes, without ever asking for recognition.

🌿 12 years of nurturing.
🤍 12 years of supporting whānau.
✨ 12 years of making a difference with the wonderful ECE service that we know and love Nurture@Home.

Congratulations, Janelle, on 12 wonderful years of Nurture@Home. 🎉

Thank you for believing in your vision, for believing in your team, and for creating something so incredibly special.

Here’s to the next chapter of Nurture@Home and all the beautiful tamariki, Educators and families who will be lucky enough to be part of it. 🥂🌿

Happy 12th Anniversary! We appreciate you more than words can say. ❤️
