Kia ora, my name is Gis and I provide a loving home-based childcare service through Nurture@Home – quality home-based early learning, as a nanny.
I immigrated from South Africa 20 years ago, looking to embrace the New Zealand culture and beautiful nature found here. I love to bring joy and a sense of fun to a child’s life while still creating a strong sense of security and belonging. I enjoy learning and being able to foster a child’s sense of curiosity, to ask questions and investigate the world around them.
I love to use my spare time enjoying and living life. I have many interests that range from gardening, cooking/baking, kayaking, fishing and reading.
I believe I am very patient, kind and caring and enjoy using these gifts to care for young children. My program involves creating fun activities to extend learning and interests and exploring the wonderful environment here in Nelson.
